Digital Learning Designer, Learning Economist, Co-founder (ChangeLearning Alliance)
Teemu Patala is a Digital Learning Designer and Learning Economist with nearly 20 years of experience in corporate learning. During his early career Teemu worked in E-learning development tasks at Finnair developing a range of corporate online training programs for staff. Since 2006, he became an entrepreneur and co-founded 4 international companies specializing in different areas of corporate digital learning. During his career Teemu has worked with hundreds of companies by designing and developing digital learning concepts for them and providing strategic consultancy in corporate learning matters. With his multidisciplinary background and broad expertise Teemu’s desire is to identify opportunities for more meaningful, engaging and efficient learning experiences enabled by digital solutions. Teemu holds a Master’s Degree in International Business and has the Finnish Vocational Teacher certification. He is one of the founding members of ChangeLearning Alliance.

Kristian is a seasoned expert and practitioner of engaging digital learning content production. He’s been responsible for the production of multimedia-based learning content development projects in the corporate sector for over 20 years and has developed learning for hundreds of companies. His special areas of expertise are: rich learning multimedia, interactive video production, mobile learning content & rapid development tools. Kristian is known for his ambition and desire to provide rich learning experiences by utilizing multimedia-based instruction in highly engaging ways.

Michael Kerwin is a pioneer in corporate digital learning content production with the desire to create engaging learning content with impact. He specializes in high impact video, animations and system demonstrations. Currently working as Learning Technologist at Kerry Group in Dublin, Ireland, Michael has about 20 years of experience in corporate training and e-learning. He has worked in various digital learning development tasks in companies like Creative Labs, Ingram Micro and Permanent TSB, and as an independent trainer and e-learning developer. Michael holds an MSc. in Education and Training Management from Dublin City University.

Leena Makkonen is an experienced business and transformation professional with a strong skillset in learning & development, change management and change leadership. Her specific strengths include for example leading change, people development, project management, collaborative solutions and new ways of working in digitalized business and cultural- & organizational transformations. Leena has extensive experience from multiple business areas, including IT projects & collaboration development for Business & Education (Google solutions & partnership), Branded Consumer Goods (Fiskars Oyj Abp), Banking & Finance (OP Group, Permanent Tsb, Arvato Finance Services, Nordea), Public Sector (City of Vantaa) as well as Travel & Tourism. Dr Alan Bruce is CEO and Director of Universal Learning Systems – an international consultancy firm specializing in research, training and project management. ULS operates for a number of clients in the educational, development and management sectors. It has offices in Ireland, Barcelona, Helsinki, Sao Paulo and Chicago. Dr Bruce is a sociologist who studied in Los Angeles, Galway and Amsterdam. He has lectured in universities in France, England, China, the United States and Ireland. He collaborates in policy research for the European Commission in Brussels. In Ireland he led research and training in the corporate sector on diversity management.
He has lectured and published widely on labour market policy, equality paradigms, social inclusion, strategic change and innovative learning. He developed national initiatives on work-based learning in Ireland in association with State and Employer agencies. He is a member of the Board of the National Council for Rehabilitation Education in the United States. has collaborated with various US universities in research and program development. He is international academic adviser for the University of Memphis, appointed to its Graduate Faculty in the Department of Psychology and Counselling in 2014. In 2016 he was appointed Visiting Professor for Global Learning in the Changhua University of Education in Taiwan.
